Thank you for using the Alpha Guest App for your Alpha.

After each session in in the app you can:

  • Rewatch the Alpha Talks

  • Review a summary

  • Reflect on the discussion questions

  • Find additional reading

Here are some instructions and information to help you:

1. Print out the QR code from your course registration (includes your Course ID) and have these printouts available at every small group.

2. Sometime during the session, have the main host explain the app and leave a few moments for people to scan the QR code and download the app (for free). We recommend that the main host introduce and briefly explain the app for at least two weeks in a row. In the remaining weeks, it should suffice to simply have the printed sheets with the QR code (and Course ID from your registration) on tables at your Alpha.

a. Example script: “We know you are processing a lot of new information each week, from the Alpha video, to all the group discussions. If you're like me, some thoughts will likely pop into your head like, "What was that part of the video I didn't quite understand?" or "I got distracted during the discussion time, what were those questions?" Or perhaps it’s the case that you really enjoyed the Alpha session and you want to learn more about the topic we discussed and find out where you can do that.
The good news is that there's an app that provides all the weekly Alpha content to reflect on. At each of your small groups, you should have a QR code to download the Alpha Guest app for free. After each session of Alpha, you can rewatch that video in the app, read a summary of the session, revisit the discussion questions, and find links to extra reading material. We recommend trying out the app to relook and remember what we go over each week. We'll give you a few moments now to scan the QR code and download the app."

3. In each group, make sure to mention the value of the app and explain that you can scan the QR code to visit the app store and download it. Let guests know that each session’s content will be unlocked the day after that session.

4. Have the small group hosts scan the QR code too, which should encourage their guests to do so.

5. Alternatively, share the provided link (below) with your guests via your preferred communication method (e.g. WhatsApp or email). They can use this link to download the app instead of the QR code. - you will need to provide the Course ID from your registration.

6. Troubleshooting and helping the guest:

a. If a guest can’t scan a QR code, you can help them type in the link (below) or send them the link.

b. If the guest can’t login, guide them on the downloaded app by entering the Alpha Course ID, which will appear under the QR code provided in your course registration. Read more here https://alpha.org/alpha-plus\.

c. If the issue persists, please reach out to support directly by emailing [email protected].
